We marked another inspiring milestone in our journey to promote local entrepreneurship and transform the business landscape in the districts of Matola and Boane. Through the Nhluvuko Project, 10 more entrepreneurs received financial support, bringing the total number of businesses benefited to 58 — a significant step toward the goal of supporting 240 entrepreneurs during the project’s first phase.
The new beneficiaries are members of local communities who qualified to receive funding aimed at developing or expanding their businesses, actively contributing to the region’s economic and social growth.
The ceremony also paid tribute to two entrepreneurs from the previous cycle who repaid the funds received within the established timeframe, setting a remarkable example of responsibility and sustainability.
Reflecting on the project’s impact, one of the first beneficiaries shared: “I run a business selling medicines and am deeply grateful for this initiative. After receiving the funding, I was able to open a new pharmacy and employ a few more people, whose families now depend on this business.”
Mozal launched the Nhluvuko Project in partnership with GAPI in 2023, with the goal of strengthening local entrepreneurship through business management training, access to a reimbursable fund, and support for market integration.
